Seventh Grade Homeroom
Welcome to 7th grade!
The 7th & 8th grade students preparing for Confirmation in November 2014 attended a special retreat called Underground Church at St. Roberts on Sunday afternoon Oct. 20. It was supposed to teach them how important their faith is and how many people have been persecuted for what we often take for granted. Five day school and PRE students were all invited.
Seventh Grade Religion:
We will study the Catholic religion, including feast days, the liturgy, the rosary, as well as the Old and New Testaments.
We are studying the New Testament especially the 4 gospels.We will be using the Catholic voice newspaper in class thanks to several organizations including the Knights of Columbus. Grades are now available on-line and I update my grades at least once a week. Check with the office for passwords, etc. The weeks of December we will cover Hannukah, Advent, Christmas and Kwanzaa.
In April we will study Lent and Holy Week as well as Easter.
Seventh Grade Social Studies:
We will study world geography in the 2014-2015 school year. We are studying world geography. We are studying the US and Canada right now. Grades are updated at least once a week. Check with the office for passwords, etc.
We will be doing a slimmed down version of the country report in late April and also a Holocaust mini-unit.
