Ten Things You Can Do to Keep in Academic Shape Over the Summer Months (and more)
1. Attend Vacation Bible School at the church of your choice or volunteer as a helper.
2. Go to the Omaha Public Library. Join the Summer Reading Club:

3. Help out at home: vacuum, clean, do the dishes, cook, mow the lawn, wash the car, etc.
4. Find a group you would like to start volunteering with like Red Cross, your local church, the Salvation Army. Become a regular volunteer. It can change your life! In the fall and spring you can call them up and work some service hours for the service requirement at our school.
5. Visit a Museum and do an activity: Children’s Museum, Durham Museum, SAC Museum, Joslyn Museum, etc.

6. Listen to KVSS at 8:15 am and listen to TJ and Rachel’s Good Book Club and listen/read all four gospels by Labor Day. Monday through Friday at 102.7 FM. See web link below for chart and/or archived episodes:

7. Keep up on current events. Read a daily newspaper, watch the news, listen to the radio news. Discuss the events of the world at the supper table.
8. Exercise. Play baseball or softball. Go fishing. Be active. Bowl. Play golf or Frisbee golf. Ride a bike. Be active.
Leave the television, computer, and video games off for a day a week. Go outside. Go visit a park.
9. Go see the College World Series or the USA Swimming Olympic Team Trials or Shakespeare on the Green or Camp Shakespeare:
